There's voices coming up behind us, as though more people entered the cave, and tracks of a largish creature heading deeper into the cave.
The Duke of Greendale appears to be the one following us; he's apparently checking up on the mercenaries who reportedly pursued some of the town's attackers. He warns us that there are owlbears nesting in the area and that these caves may be their lair.
Deeper in the cave, there's a passageway to the right where it seems the owlbears may have their nest. Continuing in the other direction, we find another intersection. The smaller passage has a tripwire and a strangely animate clay vase on a shelf (it moves when I approach!), while the larger passage has a tripwire connected to the ceiling. Both tripwires appear to be connected, and Sigh disarms the main passage's collapsible ceiling before we continue on.
Upon reaching the Underdark (a separate plane, glowing purple), we promptly turn around and head back to the surface. We attempt to erase our tracks, at least to obscure our numbers - it's likely too late to hide the fact that *someone* has been here, but it'd be nice if they didn't know how many of us there were. We also trip the rockfall, and at Medic's request I attempt to make it look like the owlbears did it.
