Wandering the edges of the city, I hear what sounds like a wolf in distress. Following the sound, I find a young wolf in a cage. He's clearly been mistreated, and as he continues to whine someone shouts at him to shut up. I feed him some meat from my rations and let him out of the cage; he's uncertain at first, but eventually comes out. He sniffs at my hand when I offer it, and he decides to follow me when I leave. Time to find this poor thing something to eat.
Meanwhile, the others end up at the local temple of Moradin, where they get breakfast. Medic prays for a while, ending up having a conversation with Moradin himself. After his conversation, he tells Sigh and Argus what he's learned - mostly, that we've been helpful to the gods in locating a particular troublemaker, and that they'll try to keep his attention while they deal with him, but there's no guarantee of anything, especially with the gods.
Argus gets good news from the blacksmith - not only will his shield be completed by the end of today, but the original shield he left was deemed inadequate for the improvements requested and has been repurposed; an improved base shield of dwarven make has been used instead. Sigh gets a visit from Adyon and ends up agreeing to stage a jailbreak. She also accepts a letter addressed to the group (see below).
