Arrived at Egopolis 100 years into the future; seems like something is affecting our magic items causing them to not work
Citizens are wearing a single long strip of white fabric along the forearm; these have some type of magic on them
Made our way to the city center; buildings are taller than usual and made out of red bricks; we are drawing a lot of undue attention due to our gear/outfits
The grand station is gone, replaced by a massive plaza
A god-like figure gave a speech about the 100 year anniversary of the "wicked" false gods; apparently the gods are still around somewhere
Walked around the city and learned the following:
Saw a play about the final battle between Hugon and Jericho in Cabalia; a battle went on many days with the whole city of Cabalia being destroyed as a result; Hugon slew Jericho but was severely injured
After Cabalia was destroyed, the mountains collapsed all their entrances and cut themselves off, Arclock among them
Felt a pull when I tried to use my magic far in the southeast of the continent; said fuck it and went west instead towards a tower that might not even be there
Got stopped by an old Water Genasi (Nick) on our way out of the city named "Devon"; brought his "groceries" to his home and got approached by a female half-elf who looks similar to Cel
Turns out it was Vic and Cerin, Cel's grandaughter who is a priestess of Coline

What happened in the 100 years since we've been gone:
2 linked events kick us off: Jericho's avatar dies in battle and the Soul Forge was destroyed by Vic and some commandos
The destruction of the soul forge caused a shift in Empire mentality; offered incentives to joining the empire instead of conscription
- Without the soul forge, soulstones became infinitely more valuable; many contraptions disassembled to create "core stones" that vent magic into the cities to keep the wraith mist at bay
- Groups of the Resistance form after this point- a bunch of different groups in a united front against the Empire; named "Fiva"
- Not sure what happened exactly, but Hugon disappeared for a few months after the battle and no one knew where he went, not even his lieutenants
Vic continues to the towers to repair them; restores a few
Defeated the unseelie Fey queen corrupting the forest where we disappeared
Came across a tower that was shattered to pieces by an unimaginable force; other towers were destroyed in a similar way;
Without any functioning towers, the ambient world magic decreased over the year
A great mist began to cover the land; firstly only appeared at night but then was constant; at night, wraiths began to appear in the mist; dubbed the "wraith mist"
- Wraiths come out at night; only places that are safe are "core stone" cities and settlements built in defensive measures; wraiths also don't like water, so most of the population lives along the coast
2 sources of magic exist: Divine power and soul stones
- Magic is less common as the empire controls who learns it
My questions:
What happened to the Lightning Road? The roads still exist, but the Conductor and train disappeared with the tracks falling into disrepair
What happened to Ryker? Ryker is "under control"
What happened to Arclock? Nobody knows! The mountains were closed off and the mist exists so who cares? All we know is that the wraith mist can't penetrate the mountains.
Where did the wraith mist come from? Despite years of research, no one knows! Seems to correlate with a lack of ambient magic

During our catch up, Vic gets a note about meeting someone in the sewers; we go there
Meet Thelsius, one of Vic's personal recruits who went deep undercover by joining the imperial inquisition; slowly worked his way up the ranks by getting his higher ups assassinated
Gave us information on an artificer who was trying to make a god killing weapon; disappeared during the war; last seen in Breadlin
Traveled north out of Egopolis to a lake with a boathouse; boathouse held some seaplanes built by Theresa; we fly out to the Fiva HQ which is our old warship!
The pulsing feeling felt in Egopolis is much stronger here, pointing to something under the water
