Got to the boat; Rapp opened a door and took a bunch of lightning damage
Met back up with Theresa and dropped off our magic items
Went to see Cerin who saw Monomon and had a seizure then started spouting prophecies out:
"The fiery orb descends, its glow fades toward oblivion. The yearning shades extend in final exhalations. The blades of ebony herald the encroachment of the abyssal night.
Hear the beckoning of destiny. Seek the radiance that dispels the dark within the remnants of most glorious triumph and destructive failure."
Our next objective: go to Breadlin and pick up the trail of an artificer who went missing during the war while trying to craft a god killing weapon
Reached out to the magic pulse while traveling; got the impression that whatever is emitting the signal is one-way only; could be coming from inside the necro-tempest or from the mountains
Arrived in Breadlin to a surprising amount of greenery; city seems to have a general sense of fear about it (and not from us)
Went to see an informant at the Itchy Goose tavern; Turns out the empire was clearing the old city to build some dueling grounds and stumbled upon an ancient labyrinth dispensing skeletons
Undead were extremely rare in old Ionnivar, so this amount of skeletons is surprising
Rapp and Balthazar went to check out the dueling grounds with the skeletons
Turns out there's a tomb under there; Balthazar took a rubbing of some symbols in a 4x4 grid
Symbol translations:
War/Danger, Safety/shelter, Fey, Fire
Decision, Goblins, Death, Chaos
Guardian, Safe passage, Camping place, Religious site
The Air, the Sun, The earth, the water
Monomon and I checked out the library to drum up leads on our missing artificer
Found a sketch of the old city layout; turns out the dueling grounds were built on top of "the vault of the great hero" dedicated to Bungo, the founder of Breadlin
Bungo led a group of 4 adventurers famed for "slaying that one really big wolf that lived over that hill"
