The Zodiark Chronologicals III

by L'Enfant Sauvage

1st Chapter — Lee — The Zodiark Log 004 — Year 200

  • Location: *Snake Temple*

  • Our pledge to Seraphis' spirit infused us with a surge of their indomitable power, a formidable force that emboldened our resolve. With determination ablaze, we pressed onward, venturing deeper into the heart of the Snake Temple, a testament to our dedication to the Avenger's legacy.
Our path led us to a formidable adversary, a giant emerald snake that reacted aggressively to our presence. The crew of The Zodiark rallied with unwavering bravery. Soot unleashed their cannon's fury, Shurr's arrows and magic sought their mark, while Yunseul and Talia harnessed the Elemental Laws to face the serpent head-on. Eduard von Sternberg and I engaged the monster with all our might, the Summer Rose Rapier in my hand gleaming with determination.
The battle was an intricate dance of evasion, flanking, and daring leaps, but not without its toll. We endured numerous blows, and at one perilous moment, Talia and I were swallowed whole by the serpent, an experience that tested my mettle to the fullest.
As the crew of The Zodiark relentlessly attacked the emerald snake, a vulnerability emerged within the beast's defences. In the throes of battle, Yunseul, ever watchful and wise, seized the opportunity and struck with all their might. The creature squirmed and convulsed, before finally succumbing to our unified onslaught, falling lifeless in defeat.

Our victory was hard-fought, and our comradeship shone through as we tended to each other's wounds. Our journey within the Snake Temple had been one of trials and tribulations, but we had emerged victorious.
Returning to the chamber of the sarcophagus, Seraphis's spirit contemplated our feats with a sense of approval and awe. In that moment, we realised that we had become Seraphis's Avengers, a title and legacy we would carry with honour and pride, bonded not only by the trials we had overcome but by the spirit of Seraphis himself.

(Author's Personal notes) — This, this has shooked me. The thought of never see Veranesta ever again almost became overwhelming. I almost died.
