The Woodcarver's Hut

by Ernaldis Mordenkainen

The party began to explore the town today, focusing in particular on the hut of the wood worker they slaughtered yesterday. As it happened, some of the brigands were ransacking the place when we arrived. The party pulled back, and formulated a cunning plan: front-liners charge in first. A brief but shockingly brutal skirmish ensued. I put almost all of our foes to sleep, only for one to set the place on fire and escape. I coordinated a teleportation with Petri, a cunning idea I will be sure to refine in the future, and pursued. I should compare notes with Vladrek. Perhaps he would be amenable to trading spell formulae. With a sufficient amount of gold, we can double the rate of our arcane mastery.
