The job doesn't give lots of control. That's the whole point - I get orders, I do the job, that's it.
Lately, it's starting to feel like even that's not really happening. Ever since that whole thing with that living mega-ship, and the paper soldiers... [section blotted out]
No, never mind. I don't need to focus on that. It doesn't really matter now, anyway.
But since then, the airship keeps getting taken out on joyrides or other jobs, and not even bothering to tell anyone else. I think I heard Raz talking about forged paperwork, too. [blotted section] One of my jobs is to be the pilot. I'm not hard to find, apparently, so someone could just grab me and I can do my job, especially if it's an emergency situation. At least the airship didn't get too damaged in the process. ...and at least one of the other times it got joyridden, the Captain directed stuff. And directed I drink some, too.
After all that, at least things got a bit more normal as I was piloting the ship to help Officer Ceylon with one of her projects. Apparently it went well, although I had to scare off a bunch of moths using Officer Vatna's backup hidden fuel. And Vatna, if you are reading this, I'm still not sorry. I've worked with really illegal stuff, and people who've used really illegal stuff. I don't really care what you have, so long as it's not put someplace where I might end up tossing it out with the trash left from the joyride after people didn't clean up. Again.
I dunno at this point. Maybe the problem is I'm too disconnected from the rest of the crew, and thanks to that, I can't really do my job. I'll have to look into some kind of... team building stuff, I guess? Lio seems good at making those connections, maybe I can ask him after we do that fight I promised him.
