"I really, really hate redcaps.
"Pim and Officer B+ were in bad shape, and they needed some emergency healer care. While a small group was helping Nicholas with the treatment, the airship and the sub had to work together to keep them protected from some redcaps who wanted the chance to suck on B+. It started out simple enough, with some bombing runs and gunfire. But they kept coming, and when they did, I made a call out to the Jewels for help by promising them some chance to blow stuff up without cops or consequence. I'm really glad they bit on that, because it gave all of us time to get things under control.
"Least, we thought that until some huge redcap from the abyss came out of a rift and started wrecking things. Things were going really bad, even when this guy with some sort of giant catfish showed up to help. We kept going, though, and after Pim and B+ recovered, they also joined in and finally turned the tide to take that monstrous thing down.
"Really, that's what this comes down to, most of the time. You're not the hero, but at least you can buy time to let someone else be the hero. Sometimes that's all you can do. It ain't about the limelight. If it is for you, there's a job on the stage where there's always good guys, and they always win. Otherwise, you help everyone get the win when they can get them."
