"This time, it was a healer named Nicholas, who needed us to look into these huge mushrooms dotting the Pastural region. The things were basically wood at this point, so we had to figure out a lot about those things." An awkward pause. "So of course Officer Stein+ starts talking to them, and I guess they answered? I don't really know how he's able to do anything he does, really - not like I have room to think something's silly."
*cough* "Anyway. Turns out the mushrooms were eating dead world hallway stuff. Some after effects of cutting the otter world loose, I guess? These mushrooms got infested by... spider things, and those of us on the airship had to blow them to the abyss. At that point, since they were cleaning up dead and rotting hallway... stuff... we decided to let them go to finish the job."
"Least if nothing else, we know what to look for if something weird is going on with a hallway. That's probably useful for, uh, knowing when I'd need to book it through a hall real fast, I guess. Besides, it's a job done."
