Final Good Byes...? Hopefully Not

[Setting the scene]
Rosalie was sitting at home upset about what happened the day before. They had all gotten news that Max was leaving and she didn't know how to handle it. She was sitting down on her couch barely reading her comic book or fashion magazine.
 
A quick knock at the door followed by the rapping of his knuckles could be heard as Maximillion let himself into Rosalie's apartment. "Hello? Rose? Its Max, I wanted to drop by and say goodbye to you personally..."
 
Rose looked up and freaked. She tossed her comic away and pretended to glare at Max and raised an eye brow. "Coming in uninvited now? What would you have done if I was undressed?"
 
Max chuckled under his breath "You just get naked in the middle of your house? Women..." Max reaches into his bag and retrieves a small box, opening it and handing it to Rosalie "My old sorcery book, in case you wanted to continue learning the craft in my absence, there is also a magicked vial of my blood, just in case you guys need it for anything." he digs back into the bag a takes out a fancy looking weapon "Give this to John, its enchanted with alchemical silver, just in case the wolves come back."
 
Rose shrugged "When women are comfortable we could literally just hang out in what ever we want. Plus I live alone and don't always get company just barging in like you." She took the things he handed her and smiled sadly, she was biting her lip to stop herself from crying. "Do you really have to leave? Can't you just stay and leave Rem to go where she wants instead by herself?"
 
"Its not about Rem, its my problem, there are bad people after me, and if Rem leaves i won't have anyone to stop them from hurting the people i care about..." Max looks down for a moment before continuing "Rose, i care about you guys - You, Flynt, even Jojo and the kids - way too much to invite that disaster here. Flynt would want to fight them and we would lose, and they would make me watch as they killed all of you. I can't deal with that... not again..." A single tear of blood streaked down Max's face. "Don't be so hard on your sire, he was trying to protect you, the people in charge do terrible, awful things to vampires that break the rules. Doing what he did was to protect you from them I'm almost sure of it."
 
She grabbed his jacket and hit his chest with his other hand. "You're supposed to stay. We could all find a way together. Who am I going to be friends with and have fun with? Who am I going to talk to if you're gone?" Her eyes welded up about to overflow with blood tears. "You're the one who helps me through things. What am I supposed to do without you?"
She was biting her lip harder to stop herself from crying but the tears just kept flowing. "You were my first friend here... who am I going to trust?"
 
Maximillion wraps his arms around Rosalie "Be with the rest of them, you can't just rely on one person for the rest of your life, you can trust them. Billy, Flynt, they're good people, I wish i could say the same about myself but I've done too many bad things in my past... I can't stay here and endanger you guys too." Max gives Rosalie a kiss on her forehead "Please just keep yourselves safe, i couldn't live with myself knowing i brought ruin to another group of my friends because of my own selfish desires." He takes a step back from Rosalie and sighs "I wish things were different, i wish i could stay here with..." Max's throat gets dry and he breathes heavily out of habit "my family, but i won't let them slaughter another family because of me. I'd rather meet my final death then watch them torture all of you." Max turns to make for the door.
 
She grabs him and shakes him. "You idiot! You think i can make friends that easily!?" She pouted then growled "have you even god damn met me!? I'm bad at this! I've only ever learned to rely on a single person. This world is different from when I was around you helped me through it though." She held his hand and got kind of quiet, squeezing it not wanting to let go as he turned around, if she could blush from that kiss she would clearly not used to any kind of affection. "Who's going to bother me to walk me home till I give in...? Or help me at odd times for no reason...?" Selfishly she stated. "I don't want you to go..."
 
Max turned back to face her his eyes dark "I don't want to go either... I wish i could stay here with you guys forever, i wish that there was some other option but there isn't. I was set down a path on the day i died that no one could follow me down, and its starting to catch up with me. I can't stand to lose you too..." Clearly troubled Max slumps back against the wall "Please don't make this any harder than it already is for me, I have looked into every single potential path i could take out of this situation and all of them end with you dead at my feet, except for this one. If i can manage to shake my pursuers i'll come back, i promise you, but i don't know if i'll be back for sure..." He holds Rosalie's hand to his face "I'm sorry, it should never have come to this. I'm so used to just blowing into a town and blowing right back out. No connections, no attachments. But you were different, this town was different, i thought i could actually make this place a home... I was a fool, and now i've put all of your lives in danger. I just want to stay here... with you... but i can't... i can't protect you from what is coming for me."
 
Rose smiled sadly and looked him in the eyes "I am always complicated. Isn't that why you keep me around? How else would you be entertained?" She caressed his cheek and sighed coming to terms with everything. "You do know no matter where you go you're going to be stuck with me. Can't escape that either." She looked at him worried and sadly. "You don't need to protect me i can protect myself. At least stay with me for a while? I'd like your company before you leave if that's okay..." she says the last part looking down almost embarrassed to even say it."No matter where you go in the end you have to come back. You need to be careful and stay safe so we can have fun together again." She basically demanded. "Okay?"
 
"I don't have to leave until tomorrow night, I can spend the rest of this one with you." Max smiled warmly, I have to keep her safe he thought to himself. Max holds up his two fingers in a slight salute, "I promise! Besides, what would be the point of leaving to keep you safe if i couldn't come back and enjoy your company?"
