Killing Overconfidence

by Rosalie Hale

Like any other night she was hungry Rosalie was at the bar looking for her next meal. At this point it was late at night and it looks like the pickings were slim. No one stood out and barely any of them talked about what was going on. She was hoping this one guy would come like he usually did. He was a regular and she knew he was the one she wanted to feast on the most. Just when she was getting up to leave the man she was waiting for walked through the door. He was in a collared shirt and slacks. Out of everyone there he was the best dressed. She knew as much as she needed to know about this guy, she did her research thoroughly.
This man was a banker who enjoyed giving loans out to women for a "special price" even though he was married. He would always gloat with his friends about getting any girl he wanted.
She rolled her eyes as she thought "Not with that face only with your pockets... or in my case your blood.".
She still made her way to the door dressed as provocatively as she was she knew he had his eye on her for quite a while so she would always flirt with him while working. She pretended to trip and fall into his arms, acting flustered she apologized profusely.
He just smiled at her and helped her up, she could hear a snicker coming from Maximillion. He knew what was going to happen to the poor bastard and she glared at him as if telling him to shut up.
Both her and the banker sat at the bar for a while to talk as she flirted as much as she can, pretending to be light weight, she acted like she was at least a bit more than tipsy and telling him they should get out of there.
He didn't even think twice, taking her offer he all but carried her out of there. As she got into his car she pretended to be dazed, she actually distracted for a minute and realized they we're headed out of town.
Asking sweetly she asked "Sweetheart where are we going?"
He answered vaguely "Just a special spot where we can have fun."
As he drove he to a side dirt road, his Camero having no trouble at all. Seeing lights up ahead she grew even more suspicious, this man was caressing her thighs as she grimaced inwardly.
Suddenly the car stopped and she saw a bunch lanterns and bottles of beer just littered around. Something in her told her to keep her senses up but just as she was going to say something in just seconds she was forced out the car by someone. From what she could feel was a man, he had a knife to her neck and pushed her up against the car. Next thing she knew she saw four men surrounding her including the banker.
She glared and screamed profanities at them only for them to laugh at her. She was having flashbacks to what happened the night she became a vampire, the fear from that day almost taking over. She couldn't help but see the banker as her ex-fiance now, the men surrounded her as they started to get greedy with their lust their words fell deaf to her ears as she did not expect any of this happening. She was thinking this was going to be an easy prey. Barely seconds had passed by as she was getting groped and tossed around to each guy, each one trying to get a piece of her taking her clothes off in the process.
Being thrown to the ground at one point she felt a piece of glass cut her thigh it helped snapping her out of it all. She grabbed a bottle and threw it at one of the men hitting him in the head knocking him out. She glared at all of them baring her fangs, furious beyond belief. Never wanting to have anyone felt like she just did again she grabbed a bottle and smashed the base to make it jagged. As she threw it at him aiming for hid head, it pierced his eye as he screamed in pain. The sound brought a smile to her face as she grabbed the next nearest guy and smashed his face into the nearest tree as he fell unconscious. She saved the banker for last, she grinned as he was fumbling pulling his pants up. Just as she was about to attack him she felt someone shoot at her arm. Turning around she saw a guy holding his eye pointing a small gun at her, he looked like he was shaking in fear. Furiously she turned around and grabbed a thick branch she from the floor, the man shot again, it hit her shoulder. Just as he did that she took the opportunity to get much closer. Swinging the branch as hard as she could heard a sickly sweet sound of his blood squelching along with the tree branch breaking. As he hit the floor his head hit a rock. She knew then and there smiling that he was dead.
Grabbing the gun she pointed it at the other man, completely deranged at this point the smell of blood only making her hungrier she walked towards the car where the man was fumbling to get his keys.
As he dropped his keys he pleaded for his life trying to find his keys on the floor. Starting a tirade she glared keeping her voice as sweet as possible as she shot him in the leg.
"When was the last time you let a woman go? Or what about when you didn't take advantage of a woman?" She shot him in the other leg as he yelled at her. Shooting him in the arm she yelled back. "When is the last time you didn't cheat on your poor wife or come home from being with another woman just to pretend to your kids?" Yelling louder she shot his other arm. "Tell me when!"
He was sobbing in fear and pain as she gripped his hair tightly apologizing. She whispered in his ear before sucking him dry. "Pitiful liar".
She went towards the other men drinking them all dry as to heal her wounds. She used the last shot at the last of the bullets to make it all seem like a drunken mess. Kicking and smashing some bottles on the ground she gathered her clothes and put them back on.
Looking around she realized she was very far from home, grabbing one of the guys arms she saw in his watch that it was barely 2 hours before daybreak. She would never be able to make it home before that on foot, looking around she realized she could take this man's yellow Camero. Grabbed the keys from under the car where the banker dropped them and used the remote to unlock the car. She looked at the gun she was still holding and tried to figure out what it was a gun her father used to use, it was a Desert Eagle. She fondly smiled at it as she placed it in the glove compartment, she was thinking of nice memories of her parents. Quickly snapping out of it she turned the car on and figured out how to drive it home. Thankfully before her incident she was learning to drive a manual car, remembering what she could so as to drive home.
No accidents or any further incidents happened. She would practice more later on and get some of her connections to change the car title, plates and get a license for her new car. She didn't know what to do with the gun yet but she would figure it out, she knew a guy who would probably be interested in helping her.
Getting back with minutes to spare she clumsily parked the car and ran inside as to shower and get into bed. She reminisced about it all happening and inwardly beat herself up for it, she was careless. As she went to bed she couldn't help but think of her family one last time before passing out.
