--We all go into the Guild Hall where Thomas greets us.
--He asks us if we have a new leader after our conflict. Thulahnear stands up and takes the reigns of that role.
--Jarl briefs us on what their group has encountered in their adventures.
--He isn't his normal cheerful self. They found Jarlaxle Baene, which required a lot of diplomacy. He is taken aback about what's going on with his group.
--Jarlaxle says his group got a little carried away. That wasn't the intention, especially since BDA doesn't deal with children in any way. Those members who DID, will be dealt with swiftly. Then he sits.
--Thomas looks to Thulahnear and asks for his briefing of our own group. He says he believes that our group moving forward has set in task that we need to get rid of these slavers by any means necessary. He then asks Thomas for his own thoughts on the subject.
--Thomas says that's what they've been working on, and he thinks they're at a fork in the road. He leans over and looks at Jarlaxle, telling him it's his play to try to resolve some of the issues we're having at the table.
--Jarlaxle stands up and says he will take care of business as he has stated before. He will return post-haste to the inn and track down the Tripps and have a conversation with them.
--Kem tells everyone at the table about his "deal" with the Tripps and the device which allows him to communicate with them. He also mentions our play to mislead them.
--Thomas shows Jarl the device. Jarl looks carefully at it, and says it's one of his devices actually. Jarl says his crew is only as knowledgeable as he allows them to be, but in this case, they seem to think about what the device can do, and what it can get them.
--Jarl says there are additional uses for the device. The group can use it to teleport to the Tripps.
--Jarl says he can send the Tripps a message to get them to go somewhere.
--Jarl suggest we use the inn as our sort of battlefield as they own it, so they can just tell the guards to take a day off, allowing us to freely meet with the Tripps. They would believe it to be safe to do so, possibly allowing for a surprise attack.
--We will make a crafty Atavan that we can use as a decoy. That way it looks like Kem actually brought Atavan for the reward.
--Our plan is to craft something vaguely Atavan-shaped and weighted out of bags of hay and a pumpkin, then cast an illusory spell on crafty-Atavan to make it look and feel like a real Atavan. Then each of us (except Kemurial) would have an illusory spell cast on us to make us look like the inn's guards. We get the Tripps to meet Kem at the bar where we ambush them.
--We eat dinner, then head to the bar to start set our plan into motion.
--We post up at normal guard locations.
--Just before our encounter, we find a happy-go-lucky gold dwarf (Foradin) whistling a tune and waving around his huge axe with one hand. He looks hungry and thirsty.
--Kem brings in the satchel with the crafty Atavan in it and dumps it out onto the table.
--The Tripps slide over a bag to Kem, and Kem suggests they owe him double.
--Kem inspects what's inside, only to find platinum pieces inside. The second bag also contain plat.
--Kem asks if their business here is done, to which they say yes.
--As Kem is walking away from the table, he feels a needle in his arm. This is the giant strength injection that was replaced before hand.
--Kem pretends to fall over and play dead. Sisiony doesn't buy it, but the other two don't notice the peculiar fall performance.
--INITIATIVE! Asisiony = Mage, Sisiony = Swashbuckler, Orsiony = Cleric
--Foradin joins us in the fight!
--We defeat each of them one by one, however they each poof away instead of falling dead. Vale explains to the group that it seems we were fighting "projections" of some kind. The actual Tripps are located somewhere else.
--We head back to HQ where we talk with the others. It is explained to us that the magic used by the Tripps is very rare and hasn't been used for many hundreds of years. Damaging the projections also damages the host bodies as well. So while we weren't fighting the Tripps themselves, we did still do some damage to the real Tripps.
--Trisha says the magic sounds similar to when they went to the Nine Hells, where they found the Orb of Orkus.
--They believe that Orkus has returned.
--Atavan suggests that we get a good night's rest. In the morning, perhaps Jarl and Treznak will have more information for us.
--Thomas stands up after speaking with Stalker, and says because of our help, they believe we are each worthy of receiving 15,000g!

Atavan, Foradin, Keaton, Kemurial, Thulahnear, and Vale each receive 1900 xp.
Absent characters each receive 950 xp.
