--Sparrowhawk tells us the Trips are calling for a meeting with us at the inn.
--We head to the inn to speak with the Trips.
--Keaton is absolutely FUMING over the fact that nobody, not even the guards in this inn/bar, seems to care a bit about the child slavery that is being spoken of.
--The Trips tells us that our agreement (that we don't meddle in their affairs and they leave us alone) is off the table, and that they are threatening to take back Atavan and Vale into slavery.
--Keaton is just about needing to be restrained to prevent him from lashing out right now.
--I overhear Kemurial talking to Asisiony. She made an arrangement with Kem that it's agreed upon that for 6,000 gold (3,000 up front) for information of our group's travels. Asisiony passes Kem a pouch of 3,000 gold. He will receive a bonus for killing Atavan as well, but when Kem asks Keaton about what he overheard, Keaton does not mention that to Kem.
--Kem reveals the deal he made with the Trips to the group after we go back to HQ.
--Kem has a new wristband that's basically a GPS tracker. It allows the owner to track movements of the user wearing the bracelet. It can also inject the user with a poison that kills them. This can be commanded to occur by the bracelet's owner.
--Sparrowhawk explains that while at HQ, his position can't be tracked as we are located on a different plane. It should only work on the prime material plane.
--Kem reveals the details of his bonus deal about killing Atavan. Atavan kicks the coins back at Kem and tells him "You're the first to go." Then she walks out.
--Keaton suggests to Kem that before we try any removal of the bracelet we attempt to fashion a hardened metal band or brace to slide between the bracelet and Kem's arm. That way, if there is any mechanism that would trip the poison upon removal, it would hit the metal brace instead.
--Keaton joins Vale in talking with our advisors in the Library.
--After our meals and drinks in the inn, I knock on Kem's door. He answers and I ask if he would allow me to bunk with him tonight, not only for our protection, but for his as well. I plan to stay up as much as I can to keep an eye on him (to make sure he doesn't do anything to harm us, and to observe that his bracelet doesn't try to poison him), and to make sure Atavan doesn't come in and try to kill Kem in the middle of the night.
--I totally called it. Atavan does indeed kill Kem in the middle of the night. Chaos ensues, and we find ourselves in Initiative!
--Keaton comes unglued on Atavan, getting into her face asking what on EARTH she thought killing Kem would accomplish. Keaton and Atavan go at it a bit, and Keaton eventually goes back to check on Kem, happy to see him awake.
--Keaton asks Vale to speak with Atavan and try to cool him.
 
Atavan, Keaton, Kemurial, Thulahnear and Vale each receive 1950 xp.
Sholken and Mandolin each receive 975 xp.
