WHAT HO, MY FINE GENTLEDUDES! After spending another day or so ensuring my shop was recovering in good order, Forrester and Euble and I set back off for Shaper's shop. Oh, a few noteworthy things: first, the insurance provided by the guild covered repairs, and the builders guild even offered to fireproof my house! They've got some new stuff they were calling "asbestos" that's supposed to be fireproof. Kinda dusty though, and the trolls that were handling it weren't being too careful. I sent Corvo out to buy a new telemirror, Euble went back to Shaper's store and Forrester joined me for a night at the opera. He seemed incredibly bored though. Then we went off to Shaper's store the next day, made it in time for dinner. We ended up deciding on Southern Dwarvish, Euble and Marissa and I had a lovely conversation involving guild politics and magic and various childhood experiences. It was really quite nice, all things considered. Shaper and Forrester spent the night in the shop, Euble found some tree, I gave Snow some money to rent a room at an inn, and Marissa and I ended up on the roof because we were too lazy to go anywhere else and Shaper wouldn't let us into his shop. Finally had an excuse to pull out the old telescope, though, so that was nice.
The next day we found the end of a teleportation circle, reactivated it after a trip to the local hedge wizards guild, and then wound up back inside the endless library. Hurt going through though. The group decided to loot the room that we think was a shrine or something. they took all the gold and valuables. I, uh, still wasn't comfortable with stealing. There was a nice pile of flowers though. Took a few, later on took inventory. Tulips, Cornflowers and Hibiscus. Very pretty ensemble. We went home after looking through his laboratory again, found some note about his plan happening soon and then got news about a big fire. Very fun stuff.
Oh, and I don't remember exactly when, but at some point I heard an angel say "WHAT HO, GENTS!" and I love it and I'm going to use that line later.
