So we killed a dragon

by Badger Of the Followers of the Almighty Clock

Well, if I'm using this thing as a journal, might as well actually write in it.

We kept exploring the library, found some devils locked up in cells. Kept exploring, kept hearing some weird roaring sounds. The squirrel/lizard/dragon put Forrester in a book, which at the time was pretty funny. Found some more devils. Avoided something that was an obviously large scary monster. Got called a coward by the clockman. That hurt. Explored some more, let Forrester out of the book. Turns out he was in there for ten years. Felt a little bad about not letting him out sooner. It was a bad time. I gave him my favorite apple as compensation. Not enough, I know, but didn't have much else to offer. Then we went to go fight the thing that was obviously a big scary monster. It was a white dragon. Dragons are sentient, dragons have thoughts and feelings and friends. I didn't want to kill it. I tried talking to it. It didn't work. We killed it. Then there was a big argument over who got credit for the kill, who did more work to kill it, yadda yadda, more fighting ensued. It was also a bad time. This whole thing's a bad time. Why are we here, again?

Oh! But Forrester insisted on hiring on one of the devils we found as a guide. Blue devils speak Kenku! I have someone to talk to, finally! He's really quite the conversationalist, I'm not sure why clockman didn't want to hire him earlier.

I miss my store. Hopefully we'll be out of here soon. I wonder how Corvo's doing.
