So my store definitely burned down

by Badger Of the Followers of the Almighty Clock

After having put down my journal, we immediately set about trying to find the quickest way to get back. Taking a boat was immediately out of the question, so we tried to find a scroll shop to buy a scroll of teleport. April was grabbed by some of her religious compatriots to go off to join some crusade, so we collectively shrugged and moved on. We find a shop, buy the scroll, and immediately realize that none of us can use it. We return the scroll for a refund. I had a nice chat with the salesman, who was in the Scrollmakers Guild. Evidently, my friends (and Shaper, who insists we are merely associates) were unaware that I am in the Clockmakers Guild, despite essentially all of my species being involved with the Guild. Perhaps they were unaware that the Followers of the Almighty Clock and the Clockmakers Guild are the same organization. Regardless, Snow rebuys the scroll again. Forrester takes us to the Hedge Wizards Guild to have them cast teleport. Squeak gets recalled by the squirrel people to defend against Terry the Raccoon. I barter for the spell by trading him a clock after delivering a standard Guild sales pitch.

We arrive three blocks from my store, and found two mimics (real ones, not feral mimics) and three devils who we had previously met while in Ariman's (I'll never remember how to spell it properly) dungeon. Evidently, they had orders to burn my store and kill me. We killed one mimic and fought off the demons, and met some people who were hiding from the carnage in my store. There was a gnome Eubel who was evidently acquainted with Forrester, and a magical teenage girl (I'd pin her at 17, 18 at the oldest) named Marissa. I swear I've seen her somewhere before, but I can't remember anything specific, so I figure she just came into the shop at some point previously. Oh, and our telemirror broke in the chaos, I'll need to get that replaced.

Marissa had to fly me around for a bit because the other mimic was being dominated by some mind magic and wanted to kill me, but we were able to trick it using an invisibility spell and a change of clothes. The shop is a wreck, we'll be here for a few days doing repairs so that Corvo can get the shop running again. Oh, and evidently I've failed to mention that I play piano to anyone in the party, Forrester found out today and insisted I play. That's all I've got for now, I'll write some more tomorrow.
