Cousin, today we headed to see a lycanthrope! A werewolf, cousin, can you believe it?! And she was so incredibly rude, even though we were there to assist her, provide her succor, and procure a remedy for her condition. She almost seemed combative about it. One might assume she wanted to stay that way. The nerve of some people. We even went to see a hag about it. I do believe we quite startled the thing. Her beast attacked us from the stable while she absconded from the house. To be fair, we quite startled her during the day, as they are frequently nocturnal creatures. We never even discussed the possibility of negotiating the return of the young were creature's blood vial. Just tally ho, in the door and attack!! Our young silent friend, who has taken to poking everything with a stick, decided to open her personal chest in the middle of a heated contest, without so much as a by your leave! It turned out to be some sort of creature, cousin! It then attacked us as well. I was forced to run, cousin, dashing around the grounds several times! Quite concerning, that much exercise can be. Eventually I was able to catch up with the hag, along with our fairy companion and Never the hero of our group. So brave that one. I am growing quite fond of all of my companions really. Tacticians, however, we do not seem to be. Bravery can be so reckless some times. I digress.
As we caught up to the hag, I was able to briefly silence, before she moved away from it and apparated away from us, so now our hunt continues. In hindsight, I should have used our racial connections to nature to entangle the creature, so that possibly it may not have escaped, and we could have ended this wretched curse already. Now we will be forced to hunt it down in some way or, I fear handle the curse in a much darker manner. The werebeast is said to have been threatening and potentially even harming children.
P.S. I exorcised a ghost from one of my companions!! Scared it right out of him. It was the first time I have encountered one of the supernatural beings I have been called to combat, and the poor thing seemed nearly as startled and frightened as we were!
