The City of Muroy
Demographics
Likely the most diverse population in the Territory of Van, the city is home to large populations of Humans, Dwarves, and Elves.
Defences
Muroy has a well-fortified castle and boasts three stockades. Some say the city needs so many stockades because of the mining trade in the surrounding area, come payday the streets swell with drunk and unruly miners looking to let off steam. The local council insists it's to protect the valuable ores that the city produces.
Industry & Trade
Muroy is home to the majority of smelting and mining operations in the area, being strategically built in close proximity to several large and rich deposits in the area. It acts as a hub for the wider mining industry in the area and is also home to some farming and livestock keeping.

Geography
Build on the high ground, surrounded by wetlands and Taiga the land doesn't allow for large walls to be build and on wet years, the surrounding buildings can be subject to overland flooding.
Climate
The citizens often joke about always having wet feet. This refers to the wetland that the city was built upon. Travel is made easier in the winter when the use of sleds on top of the snow keep one from having to dig in the muddy road to free your wagon.
