Laws and policy are discussed thoroughly by The Chamber of Elders, an elected body of officials from all over the empire. Every 5 years each territory or province in the empire goes through an election process to determine the representative who will be sent to Chalane. While the majority of territories use a form of voting, some still hold onto old practices of determining the representative by combat tournament.
Judicial Body
The Royal Convocation is the arm of the empire that oversees the interpretation of the laws that are enacted by The Chamber of Elders and King Buxton Azeral. They oversee the court system in the empire and hold an office in each capital of every territory in the empire.
Executive Body
The Truthseekers enforce the laws of the empire. The Truthseekers main focuses are investigations that have a wider impact for the whole empire and leave local law enforcement up to the various City/Town/Village councils to enforce. Affectionately known as the King's Hounds, there have been several instances of the Trueseekers rooting out corruption and organized crime throughout history.
