Onghoz Ocean
Stretching between the continent of Aseth in the east and the continents of Adora and Aurelia in the west. The Onghoz has hosted the most advanced underwater civilizations in the known world and is the location of the Abyss, a bottomless trench from which aberrations spawn. The most notorious of the species are the Aboleth who would subjugate the Merfolk and the Triton for hundreds of years. This subjugation would be ended by the Triton with help from their god Persana and the assistance of the most powerful of the Kraken, Leviathan.
Geography
Despite its vastness, the Onghoz is a relatively shallow and calm ocean with the depth only increasing greatly near the Abyss. This geography is varied much like the surface and is very amicable to an abundance of life. The ocean is dotted with thousands of islands and large island chains which rise like mountains from the ocean floor. Its floor is dotted with the cities and settlements of its sentient inhabitants who tend to favour living near geothermal hot-spots. Alongside these bustling settlements are those built by the ancient Merfolk which lie in a state of slumber, inhabited only by the marine life and at times those with nefarious intentions.
