Session 3: Back in Lakeside Report

General Summary

The party returned to town and stayed in The Shaded Acre for the evening since they returned so late. Everyone experienced the strange mumbling dreams except Sprig Silvertoung who can't dream. Drostre Bassast and Ashley Benatar seemed to be effected by another effect. Neither of them could remember the tower existed unless they were looking at it.
Sprig Silvertoung and Drostre Bassast ran drills while Alecto Ocreata and Bharash Marux had potato surprises for breakfast and Ashley Benatar woke herself with a cool bucket of water before they all gathered outside. The party noticed that something strange was going on with Ashley Benatar and Drostre Bassast concerning the tower, especially considering Sprig Silvertoung couldn't measure it, and Sprig Silvertoung dispelled the magic on Drostre Bassast letting him remember the tower. They neglected to cast it on Ashley Benatar to save spell slots.
The party collected their bounty from the still exhausted but mildly shocked Amrias Oakenfell. They stocked up on potions at Lakeside Market before deciding to head over to the tower. They went in and investigated the teleportation circle, Ashley Benatar figuring out that it is one before rashly stepping in causing everyone else to rush to follow.
They exited the portal into a dark cave where a fight with a Spirit Troll ensued. Everyone stayed up and Alecto Ocreata defeated it with her spiritual weapon. This reignited the circle and the party went through.
The party walked out into a bathroom. While everyone was taking in the oceanic view and discussing ventilation, Ashley Benatar flushed the toilet and sprung a trap. The room began filling up with water; Sprig Silvertoung figured they could give the party more time with the destroy water spell. Alecto Ocreata, on Bharash Marux's shoulders, began stuffing the taps with ripped up bedroll. They got 4 fully stuffed and 2 half stuffed before Drostre Bassast, after a failed attempt to pry up the metal blocking the drains, followed by Ashley Benatar investigated the toilet and found a button that turned off the water flow. The teleportation circle opened back up and the party moved on.
They stepped into an apothecary. Upon investigation Drostre Bassast thinks the person working here is either a bad scientist, has no care for ethics or already has side effects worked out of the potions. They rest there overnight. In the morning Alecto Ocreata and Drostre Bassast pick up some potions to take with them out of curiosity. One of Alecto's potions is viscous and deep forest green, the other is clear but slightly lilac tinted, with white specks floating in it. Drostre's is deep blue with a lilac shimmer. Sprig Silvertoung woke Ashley Benatar who immediately went to drink a clear water like potion with a black smoke swirling within but was stopped by Sprig Silvertoung. The party decided to move on back through the circle.
They found themselves in a shrine room on top of a looming obelisk in a stretching abyss. After Alecto Ocreata figured out how the objects used for worship worked the party, except for Bharash Marux, took part and gained boons. Alecto Ocreata and Drostre Bassast gained a virtue themed boon whereas Sprig Silvertoung and Ashley Benatar gained a vice themed boon. Ashley tried a second time, to get the other boon too, but the information was accepted and not rewarded. They found old outdated textbooks and a half finished dissertation on magical theory before taking some books and leaving. Sprig Silvertoung took an old, very specific, history book with a few old maps of the related area. Drostre Bassast and Bharash Marux worked together to find a book in draconic to teach Drostre to read it; they ended up with a book on dragon anatomy.
The next room they found themselves in is a misty forest. The fog seems to run through with strange red veins and a young halfling boy is heading towards them, seemingly scared.

Rewards Granted

The party collected their 6000GP and started a party fund with some of the reward. Sprig Silvertoung is in charge of it.
