Helkan is one of the three main rivers that flow through Nemirkía, a region in central Adynía, specifically the central part of it. It originates in the eastern Sjorgús Mountains south of Nemirkía, whence it meanders northwards and finally empties into the Gold Sea.

Geography
The Gartaraz-dwarves control the source and uppermost part of the river, while most of Helkan flows through the southern part of the Sikíron Empire. Notable settlements by the river include the snake monastery Anþa Vylkalí-æ-Kavúlíen in the mountains, and Konissía in Voðría and Krelissía in Sikíron.
Fauna & Flora
The marshy river delta is a haven for all kinds of birds, insects, fish and amphibians, as only a small part of it has been irrigated due to being home to the Oracles of Terlataníanus.
