Demographics
Most of the inhabitants belong to various groups of Núrakic Elves, with Þígeans forming a significant minority as well, the largest in Núrak outside the city of Arþólen to the east.
Architecture
Tarúvil is a good example of a kúþelan, a kind of traditional fortified núrakic city, and one of the largest. Most of the buildings are wooden or half-timbered structures built on stone foundations, with the roofs and beams painted green and the outer walls decorated with lozenges, which are meant to evoke snake-scales.
Statues and statuettes, often painted or gilded, are a common sight throughout Tarúvil, some built to honour the gods or commemorate esteemed locals, but most show various animals and creatures from mythology. Some of the finest statues in the city are the ones supporting the colonnade surrounding the market square, each depicting a warrior or warrioress with unique facial features and details in the equipment, hairstyle and clothing.
