Demographics
The majority of the citizens are Núrakic Elves, though a small but notable community of Záali is found there as well.
History
The area has been inhabited since prehistoric times, and was once the site of a formidable fortress during bronze age, which gradually evolved into Old Anúvil. The old city was destroyed in 432 a.Paþ during the wars with Pérgal, one of the successor states of the old Paþarían Empire, and was subsequently rebuild in its current form in 512 a.Paþ.
Architecture
Most of the buildings in Ile-Anúvil are made of stone, in stark contrast with the old city, which was mostly built from wood and was famed for its intricately carved houses. While the materials have changed, the city's artisans have done their best to replicate the carvings, sometimes emphasizing them further with the application of silver or even emerald steel.
Ile-Anúvil also houses Núrak's largest stone temple built in traditional núrakic style, featuring silver roof and doors, walls faced with white hirilan marble, and colourful floors of imported marble.

Geography
The city is located at the Vakatír River delta, on a low hill overlooking to the Silver Sea coast. Not far from Ile-Anúvil is the famed Colossus of Anúvil, carved into a cliff-face overlooking the city, near which festivals honouring the goddess Kíþó are held.
