Wudubearu
Built and grown in ages long past within the trunk of the tree currently known as The Bastion, Wudubearu (commonly called Grove) is a wonder to behold. When the Bastion drove away the fungal infestations plaguing the city, it began to awaken once again.
Unfortunately, few of the original inhabitants remain. Those who do work hard to repair the life they had.
The city is divided into 8 districts, each defined by a distinctive landmark.
- Watchtower District
- Pagoda District
- District of Shifting Paths
- Shrine District
- Well District
- Graveyard District
- Clocktower District
- Manor District
- District of the Everchanging Streams
Potential Improvements
As the Bastion of Light is upgraded, the powers of this ancient city awaken. With enough time and effort, these powers and their facilities could be utilized to great effect for the benefit of the Bastion. Below are the regent's notes on how the newly discovered facilities might be used.Your Graces, we have found a number of potentially useful, preexisting facilities during our population of the city within the tree. The facilities have been cleared out as part of the commissioned fortress upgrades, and each should be functional once a supervisor is appointed to manage it.
- Watchtower: this old watchtower was overrun with plant life when we first arrived. Now that it is cleared of clutter it should make for a fantastic Guard Post. Having an official guard post would allow us to train our militia, and organize a town guard to keep the peace and keep the watch. Supervisor: Captain of the Guard.
- Pagoda: this entire district was strewn with all sorts of pottery when we arrived. Oddly enough, when we collected some of the finer pieces of pottery for the city's treasury, we found that many of the pieces were replaced the following week. With the right supervision, we suspect we can sell the pottery, adding 100 Ord/week to the city treasury. Supervisor: Guildmaster.
- Shifting Paths: this fascinating archway seems to have been some kind of ancient magical relic. If we could repair it, we might be able to discover its old purpose. Supervisor: Gatemaster.
- Shrine: the ancient shrines in this district culminate in a massive temple to the All-Color Dragon. Needless to say, the use of this facility could greatly expedite the improvements to the existing chapel. Supervisor: Bishop.
- Clocktower: the clocktower that dominates this district has been found to house strange machines of unknown design. Most remain dormant, but in the clocktower's top, there is a voluminous library that seems to be larger on the inside than the out. We believe that this clocktower can be used to greatly expedite the improvements to the existing library. Supervisor: Clockmaster.
- Manor: as we continue to clear out the manor house, we have found spaces for governmental offices which will allow us to more efficiently manage your demesne. All we need to get started is a proper supervisor. Supervisor: Regent
- Everchanging Streams: as we prepared this large temple, we were approached by a small conclave of pilgrims of the Everchanging Streams. They have since taken up residence in the temple, and will be happy to provide their clerical services to you and your citizens. Supervisor: Everchanging Streams Envoy
