Regional Effects

Eloria's Lodge

Hunter's Home: big game is larger, fiercer, and more plentiful than normal.
Ranger's Respite: enemies must succeed a DC 15 Operations check to navigate the region. On failure they suffer 1 Casualty from local wildlife.
Terrain Bias: allies treat the region as Favored Terrain. Enemies treat the region as difficult terrain.
Perpetual Training (keep ability): when you take an extended rest, you pick one piece of your equipment to train with. That gives you a benefit based on its type (you can find those on page 17 of Strongholds and Followers).

Karthunax's Chapel

Heavenly Weather: the weather mirrors Karthunax's health. Good weather when he is healthy, stormy when he is on the edge of death.
Evil's Bane: evil creatures have disadvantage on all d20 rolls while in sunlight.
Guardian's Knowledge: you know the whereabouts of any powerful evil creature that enters the region.

Holy Servitor (temple ability): you can call upon your deity to ask for aid (separately from Divine Intervention). This temple gives you a +30 to any Concordance rolls you make. If you are granted the assistance of a divine servitor, it lingers for 4 rounds + 1 round for each level of your temple.

Local Historian

Tolen...   This Igglebrugheet is the payroll knowing-things-guy.
He almost certainly knows something about anything. What he doesn't know he can find out, given time.   Roll on the table below, with the following modifiers based on how much you give him to go on. Vague: e.g. "What can demons do?" -20 to your roll.
Specific: e.g. "How do you navigate between levels of the Abyss?" +0 to your roll.
Detailed: e.g. "What kind of machine does this blueprint construct?" +20 to your roll.

Galder's Quarry

  Level 2 Quarry
This quarry was discovered half-sunk in the eastern swamps of Dernlike Island around the time of the founding of The Bastion. Since then it has seen nearly constant activity as the bridge connecting Dernlike Island and Bastion Island is being repaired. The quarry is managed by the old human man Galder of Chalk , the Chief Architect of The Bastion.

Mechanics

Galder and his masons are masterful craftsmen of stone. In addition to adding 1d4 per Workshop Level to the Bastion's income, he has opened a small shop which he stocks with stone likenesses, effigies, and busts of various creatures. Some of these statues and statuettes are magical in nature and can have a Tier up to his Workshop Level. Due to the artistic nature of Galder's work, there is little in the way of a pattern to his enchantments apart from the fact that he prefers making statues and figurines of people.   Additionally, Galder can be contracted to make a custom piece, as per the Subordinate Craftsman rules.

The CarpenTree

Level 2 Carpenter
Originally built as a temporary work station during construction of the boardwalk surrounding the Bastion Tree, this carpenter's shop's haphazard layout belies the skills of its mistress. Since the boardwalk's completion, the CarpenTree has earned a reputation for quality work throughout the town.   The CarpenTree is the domain of the stocky gnome woman Pilidilly, the Chief Carpenter of the Bastion.

Mechanics

Pilidilly has recently opened a shop of custom creations as an addon to the CarpenTree. This shop sells all sorts of hand-crafted wooden products, some of which are even magical. These magical items are upto the Tier of the Workshop Level. These items range from furniture to sculptures to boats to figurines.   Additionally, Pilidilly can be contracted to make a custom piece, as per the Subordinate Craftsman rules.

The Lone Wolf

Level 2 Tavern
This small tavern sprung up seemingly from nowhere to the northwest of Dernlike. Just far enough out of the way to avoid undue notice, but just close enough to the economic and social structures of the region to get plenty of traffic, the tavern is an impressive conglomeration of rough-and-tumble drinks (including a fighting ring), and well-to-do finery (including fine dining, exotic foods, and well dressed croupiers to handle bets on the fights).   The tavern is managed by the middle-aged human man Pick , who is secretly the Spymaster of The Bastion.

Mechanics

The spy keeps tabs on your demesne. All non-natives suffer a +3 to the DC of any attempts to spy on your demesne. This increases by a further +1 for each upgrade you purchase for The Lone Wolf.
In addition, when you roll on the follower chart, you can choose to increase or decrease the result by up to 3 + Tavern Level.

Heaven's Hammer

Level 2 Smithy
This nondescript blacksmith's shop is home to a surprisingly high number of high quality products, especially weapons and armor. Though it appears at first glance to be little more than a forge and anvil, everyone in Bastion knows that Heaven's Hammer is where you go for high quality work.   The smithy is managed by the half-celestial Rel , Master Smith of The Bastion.

Mechanics

Rel has begun using the front of his workshop as a storefront, selling a number of magical armaments. The maximum Tier of these magical weapons and armor is equal to the Workshop Level.   Additionally, Rel can be contracted to make a custom piece, as per the Subordinate Craftsman rules.

Aviary Post

Level 2 Aerie
The most efficient way to send a message from The Bastion is from the Aviary Post. The specialized and magically trained hawks that serve here are trained to far surpass any homing pigeons, and can bring messages to all of the major cultural centers of Fisterix.   This aviary is managed by the plump dwarf woman Makarin , Postmistress of The Bastion.

Mechanics

The Postmistress keeps you up to date on regional events and intrigue. You can use the Aviary Post to send a message to any other Post in the kingdom.
In addition, you can use the Post to give your soldiers tactical updates. Choose one unit to give the updates to. The next time that unit participates in a battle, you can choose to ignore one special ability of an enemy unit. To use this ability, the unit benefiting from the Post must be able to engage the chosen enemy unit. (For example, Levys cannot use this to ignore a special ability on enemy Cavalry).

The Calligraphatorium

Level 2 Scribe's Office   Anyone who needs something written or transcribed in The Bastion will find themselves at the Calligraphatorium. For those of a more arcane bent, the scribes are happy to imbue their scrolls with magic. Simply provide the fee and the appropriate material components and they can inscribe a magical scroll.   This Tannery is run by the enthusiastic half-orc Garrik, Master Scribe of The Bastion.

Mechanics

Garrik and his scribes are experts at crafting magical scrolls from all disciplines of magic. They keep a stock of various scrolls on hand for sale in their gift shop. The maximum Tier of these scrolls is equal to double the Workshop Level.
Additionally, you can commission Garrik to create custom magical scrolls, as per the Subordinate Craftsman rules.

The Don Jon

Dungeon   An unfortunate necessity, especially in a land of monsters and mages, is the dungeon. Designed to house dangerous, magical creatures, the dungeon is equipped with a variety of magical defenses.

The Right Words

Law Office Great expertise and experience are necessary when navigating the complex political web that is the Fisterix legal system. Having an in house attorney should simplify matters.
