Bolt

Bolt is the name given to an imbumed, Leviathanbone longbow held by Lightning Bringer, a high ranking knight of the Kossoway Family.

Magical Properties

Bolt charges arrows with lightning that charge as they fly through the air, the longer they fly the more the charge, to the point that long volley shots can cause a lightning blast the explodes and does damage in a general area. However if fired up close, only damages a small area around the hit human.

History

The bow was created by Jikx the Murderer at Sanctum after he imbumed a longbow with a Order of Maji acolyte. Jikx was later caught and executed by the Order for that and many other crimes. Afterward Bolt was placed a large safe in the High Conclave offices.   Bolt was later stolen Lin the Sanctum Thief during the Shadow in Sanctum's Night. After the event it later resurfaced in the posession of the Yakim Family, the Viziers of Cint at the time. But it was soon lost in Wars of Lost Enchantment. During the war a battle went sour for Hannah the Expander, and all the archers were lost to a cavalry chrage. It was later found by a battlefield scavenger who, mistaking it for simply an ornate but normal bow, sold Bolt to a traveling merchant..   A couple years after it was lost to the scavenger and sold, and resold to people who never never used the weapon, only looking to fetch a high price for the beautiful bow. It eventually found it's way to Appindor in 1001, where a traveling merchant camped a few miles outside of < Cordin > decided to put an arrow to it and practice against a tree. The explosion killed one of his horses and nearly killed him after throwing him against a rock. The next day the merchant sold it to the Kossoway Family, the Dukes of Cordin at the time, for a very high sum.   < King > gave the weapon to his daughter who trained with it and was knighted as the first Lightning Bringer.
