Baba Yaga

The Mother of Witches is considered by many of the Faey to be the origin of evil and a corruptor of the Faeywild. In times past there have been schemes to usurp control in her name, covens formed in her reverence and entire court culls made in the effort of reducing her influence. Despite all this Baba Yaga has never once been proven of a crime to her people and whenever summoned by the Sovereign of the Four Seasons has come and offered her sage, if morally unhindered, wisdom.   From her travelling hut the Baba Yaga moves between the four seasonal courts of the Faeywild spreading her will among the Hags that see her as their leader. Usually this consists of searching for new magic or artefacts, luring unsuspecting travellers into the Faeywild for experimentation or ritual or other such schemes. Though if she is to be believed it is never against the courts themselves that they are asked to plot.   It is unknown how many daughters the Baba Yaga has but those she has spawned have often become great names in the places of their residence. it is said when she seduces others she changes her form to be that of a great beauty and then casts the father aside as if he were nothing. No sons of the Baba Yaga has ever been heard of though whether this is chance, cruelty or sorcery is anyone's guess.
