Cungimuss

Cungimuss was an Elder Mind that lived in the underdark beneath Taigol. With a large illithid hive Cungimuss survived the Elder War by forging a secretive compact with Zufujing when the two realised the war would lead to the decimation of both of their species.
After the collapse of the Draconic Imperium the pair secluded themselves until a powerful warrior stumbled upon Cungimuss following a series of illithid raids on his village. Rather than fighting the foe Cungimuss offered him an army and power over an empire directing him to also forge an alliance with Zufujing who it knew would challenge any unilateral attempt to seize power he engaged in.
Following Zufujing's ascent to the champion and Cungimuss' plan the pair lent their forces to his rise leading to the formation of the Jade Empire. Cungimuss would go on to advise the Jade Emperors until the Excoriation with it's illithid serving as ambassadors, agents and bureaucrats to the empire.
