Durundar Mountains

The Durundar Mountains are the largest mountain range in Magarin and home to several Dwarven kingdoms and realms within as well as Snow Elf and Goliath communities atop. 
The Mountains were considered a hostile place to traverse with its peaks sustaining only the hardiest of survivors. Life atop was harsh demanding a constant quest for food, water and heat that most would eventually fail to master. Within the Under-Roads varied in security with the rise and fall of the Dwarves below with some stretches of road becoming the domain of deadly Drow and Duregar or worst the wild creatures that occupy the mountains depths.
The Durundar possessed perhaps the largest source of passages into the Underdark forcing its residents to deal with much of the worst of Aesalia. This did however create a hardy people and as time progressed many scholars would create headquarters for research expeditions.
