Wū

Wū is the largest of the four kingdoms of Renmin and is ruled by the Huang who is considered by many to be second in power to the Jade Emperor themselves. Wū is a place of rigid bureaucracy where each and every resident is believed to serve a grand divine plan. As such they must live their life in accordance with the Great Harmony which dictates their role in society. 
Wu society is divided into three castes: the Wu-Tao, Wu-Tai and the Wu-Tang. The different castes offer varying movement with the Wu-Tang at the top from among whose number the Huang is chosen.  
The Wu have a fierce rivalry with the Imūgi who they view as disloyal and a threat to the status quo of the island. They are however fiercely loyal to the Jade Empire and earn special privilege's for their unquestioned loyalty including their peoples membership of much of the apparatus of Taigol.
