Champion of the monks of The Kathoid Monastery, Effie Koss, unlike many of her compatriots, who are often aarkocra, is an air genasi (half djinn). Due to her talent with martial arts, and her inherent use of elemental magic in her strikes, Effie is also a representative for her people, often acting as an ambassador, or being sent to be an objective voice in certain talks between nations that value what the monks have to say. Because of her sheer martial prowess, Effie is also sent to many tournaments across the land, as a way of helping demonstrating the power of the monks of The Kathoid Range .

Effie is in exceptional shape, with a slender, yet well defined frame. She often wears the typical sleeveless, dark robes robes of her people, but sometimes wears more revealing robes depending on the climate of the area. She wears wrist guards, that hide many tattoos on her forearms and wrists, which light up when she strikes. Most of the time, she chooses to not wear shoes when fighting, instead, simply applying bandages over her feet and ankles.

Personal history

Born into the world by the power of a djinn, Effie had a rough upbringing, being without proper parents, or even any kind of parental guidance throughout her childhood. Eventually, Effie's djinn father was captured by the powerful wizard, Aldin Ridrose, who then left Effie to the monks in The Foghorn HIlls. There, she trained for years, and was taught to integrate her elemental powers into her martial arts.
After a dozen years of discipline and training, Effie was chosen to travel to Kitzstadt to represent the monks in the yearly melee that took place there. In Kitzstadt, she met The Gauntlet of Kitzstadt., looking to win the tournament for the 6th time in a row, before the format changed to single competitors only. She joined the group, sweet talking Candorran Fellon, one of their members, into allowing her into the group. Effie spent a couple of weeks in Kitzstadt after the party had claimed victory yet again, becoming close with Candorran. After he confessed that he had no idea what to do, Effie asked him to come back with her. Now the two live in the monastery, often leaving on great adventures when they can.
