Gordak

One of the residents of Saol's Grove at the heart of The Ithryl Woods, Gordak is noted as being one of the greatest protector of the area, alongside Tharaz Tonack, Lynell Jaddis and Simi Durath. Being a were bear, the Grove is one of the few places in the world where he could live without worry, eventually learning to control the animalistic tendencies of his were form, to the point where he simply spends his days in said form. Staying close to the heart of the Grove, many have called him the Guardian of the Grove's Rift Tree, as any who would have attempted to utilise the extra-planar abilities of the Tree have met the end of his axe.

Identifying Characteristics

Gordak is an imposing figure, remaining in his brown furred bear-like form, standing at a height and size far larger than any other half-elf. Keeping with the far simpler life that he now finds himself in at Saol's Grove, he wears sleeveless, druidic robes, forgoing the need for shoes, given the thickness of his skin around his paws.

Personal history

Gordak was once a half elf, living in the Alderhardt city of Valenrouse. Although it was rare, and noted to be inordinately improbable, Gordak was born with a curse of a werebear, with it flaring up during his adolescence. Unable to live in society, he looked for Saol's Grove, hoping that pilgrims of Saol could help him find order in his. Luckily for him, he was able to find just that, meeting Tharaz Tonack, who tended the Grove. The two were able to aid Gordak in controlling his werebear form, allowing him to remain civilised in that form. He now stays in the Grove, wishing to repay his debt to Tharaz, guarding the burial ground of the First Mortal for the remainder of his life.
