Yutani Yokura

The Red Swordmaiden

Like her sisters, Yutani Yokura was once one of the three vampire mistresses that ruled over the Isle of Beasts from the Luman Tower, and became a higher vampire after the fall of the Nashuto people on the isle, which she was once a part of. Staying to protect the Luman Bloodwell, along with her sisters Maeda Yokura and Kiya Yokura, Yutani preyed on many a traveler that ventured into her domain, possibly looking for the power that the Bloodwell could grant. After protecting the Bloodwell for centuries, remaining around the Bloodwell, the vampire sister eventually came across the tiefling bard Carrius Simara, who was, at the time, a member of the famed adventuring party The Gauntlet of Kitzstadt..
After this encounter, for a time, Yutani found herself living in society for the first time in centuries, continuing to protect the Bloodwell in the Simara estate. This changed when Carrius came back and settled in his estate, meaning that she no longer had a reason to stay in one place, allowing her to feed her wanderlust. She became a travelling swordmaiden, earning quite the reputation doing so.

Physical Description

Identifying Characteristics

With pale skin, red eyes and matching red eyes, Yutani is unique in appearance compared to many of Nashuto descent. In her human form, Yutani is often seen wearing a black kimono and a beaded necklace, showing her Nashuto roots. Her right shoulder is tattooed with the typical dragon design granted to warriors of the old Nashuto sword masters and, as tradition for said sword masters, Yutani always wears tachi (Japanese style longsword) at her side, keeping it close in case of danger.
Yutani has the most unique of the higher vampiric transformations, gaining a hybrid form through sheer discipline so that she is still able to utilise her swordsmanship. She grows in height, and her skin turns grey, becoming covered in visible veins, but her limbs do not elongate to the same degree as many others.

Personal history

Yutani was once one of the sword masters of the Nashuto people that had once lived on The Isle of Beasts, and was responsible for slaying many of the creatures there to eventually claim the isle. This would not last; however, and many of the Nashuto would die off after countless skirmishes with the native creatures, eventually leaving Yutano and her sisters as the last of their people left. Knowing that they could not leave the Bloodwell unprotected, but only had the lifespan of humans, the sisters drank from the Bloodwell, becoming higher vampires.
After centuries in isolation with her sisters, slaying adventures who got too close to the Bloodwell, Yutani met Carrius Simara, who, through song, speech and seduction, managed to convince them that they were simply going about the protection of the Bloodwell the wrong way, and that, if they were with society, it would be much less drab. The sisters lived in the estate in Zafeíri that Carrius owned and spent a couple of years there until the tiefling returned. With Carrius being a higher vampire, his power could be trusted to protect the Bloodwell, meaning that Yutani was finally able to see the rest of The Continent, and everything she had missed in the last few centuries.
