Government
Keth is not run with a typical government. Instead, the village appoint an elder who makes decisions which affect the entire town. An elder serves for as long as they are able or until death, at which point the whole village votes on a new elder.
Defences
On the east and west side of the village, watchtowers stand facing down the road. The adult villagers take it in turns to take watch on a rotation.
There is no formal armed force in Keth, however the village will pull together with make-shift weapons (like farm equipment) should the need arise.
Industry & Trade
Keth is predominantly a farming village, exporting mainly wheat and flour, however the town also produces a large amount of lumber from the nearby Timberland Wood.
Infrastructure
There is a single inn at the centre of the village called 'The Treant' which is primarily used as a drinking spot for the local population. It does however have two rooms attached to it which only tend to be used by merchants travelling through.
Assets
The village has a large grain store which houses food for the colder months.
History
Keth is a modest village which have been around since before the events of The Confluence. Despite being so old, the people who live here are content with living humble lives and have actively avoided over-expansion.
The families who settled here many years ago still live in Keth, content to keep to themselves as opposed to venturing out into the world.
30 years ago, an adventurer passing through Keth who battled a treant who wandered too close to town. The treant was defeated after a gruesome battle in the town and it's body was used to build the local tavern. The name of the adventurer was Kilian.
Architecture
House in Keth are mostly made from wood and thatch, with a few made from local stone scattered throughout .
Geography
Keth sits south of the Ersatz Mountains in the grassy plains on the boarder of the Newport Province. On the southern boarder lies the large Timberland Woods which stretch to the east and the west along the road as far as the eye can see.
