March of Walahran
Toemanshire's Frontier
The March of Walahran is the southern most realm of the kingdom of Toemanshire, where the sands of the Amber Wastes of Anbar meets the central hills of the Areian Peaks. Its primary lands consist of the Redhand River lands where it uturns from its eastern flow south out of the Duchy of Nuna, curving north into the Duchy of Ron, heading to Tobia's Gulf beyond.
Walahran of the modern day is largely uninhabited. While the many Elf ruins throughout show it was once held a major population in ages past, the modern Human of the region generally find the northern realms of Toemanshire far more habitable and safe. The native Lhakamen that had dwelt in the riverlands of the region took the brunt of the recent Orc invasion with little warning. The march's largest town Loneton was razed, along with the other villages. The survivors, primarily women and child, were chased north ahead of the advancing orc army. Few survived to reach help.
With the orc defeat, the March of Walahran is still largely abandoned. Some return to rebuild their homes, primarily in Loneton, but the fear of the orcs still in the wilds beyond keep many away.
