Uluru (oo LOR oo)
the Land of the Lost
Near, what many consider, the southern center of the Cota Ocean, Uluru is a largely unexplored landmass consisting of four islands in the southeast of the Dark Hemisphere. The continent gains its name from the large central Island of Uluru. A thickly forests island of rocky lowlands with wide open valleys, largely unpopulated and left natural as a hunting ground for the native popluation of the islands. Its sister island to the east, Sereghel, is more mountainous, and is home to a nation of isolated Woyd'are, the Yin’feri. Extreme in their worship of nature, they are hostile to all outsiders, including other elves. Smaller islands sit off the western coast of Uluru.
The region on and around the islands is fundamentally a magic dead land, with trees and plants absorbing the Anon to sustain themselves rather that naturally generate it, as all other plant life does on Aldern. Giant prehistoric creatures roam the forests, adding to the hostility of this land.
The List of Uluru Islands:
Island of Uluru: Island of Uluru make up the center of the lesser continent of Uluru. The largest of the islands, its hilly, deep valleyed surface is covered in wild forest and scrublands. Hot springs create shallow rivers webbing across its central and southern regions, with monsoon often battering its northern coast during spring and fall months. It is a untamed land, left natural by the Yin’feri, with only Hopa Copa bay at its southern end sustaining any sort of settlement.
Sereghel: The island called Sereghel sits off the east coast of the Island of Uluru, making up the eastern edge of the lesser continent of Uluru. It is a mountainous land densely covered in forests. A forest groomed and maintained by the native Yin’feri.
