Santa’s Candy Cave Legend

There is a legend about a candy mine in Christmastide Valley.   Wether it is true or not, this legend still persists in the eyes of all Christmas Beings. This ancient tale has been part of the Christmastide Valley Culture for centuries and will be told for years to come.
“Many years ago, a Christmas Elf discovered a mysterious cavern. Unknown to all Christmas Beings. But they went inside. For twenty minutes, they walked on the downward angled path. Then a light appeared.   He or she saw a wondrous place! Described as Christmas Elfin Heaven, it was filled with many foods we Elves enjoy! Foods that boost our magic and our ability to work fast.   When the elf walked in, they saw candy as crops. Her first words upon seeing this was, “Great Christmas Crystals!”. She or he was excited! They had discovered something not known to Christmas Beings or anyone else.   She saw Candy Cane Trees and Gumdrop Trees before coming to the Chocolate River and looking up and down at bridges connecting the other side to our side. Upon crossing a bridge, Fields of Lollypops and Fields of Cookies strewn about.   A Field of Marshmallows is seen downstream from her. And upstream is peppermint.   But breadcrumbs are found down the path. They lead to a small building.   It is said that note read, “Please use this land as beacons of Hope and Joy. Use them in Harmony and Unity with all beings who live here.”   When the discoverer returns topside, they immediately go seek Santa Claus. No Mrs. Claus yet. Santa Claus and they talked in his private office. Nicholas, surprised and also bewildered, follows this elf back to the cave entrance.   Nicholas returns from the cave still bewildered.   Father Winter is asked to visit. But he is stopped. Nine Gods/Goddesses ask him to not go in. He doesn’t. Instead, he tells Santa.   The Nine Deities also see Santa.   Nicholas soon receives lanterns from Heathdorei Allanar Shflenor.   Several Ancient Power Elves also come they and unused reindeer soon see what the excitement and secrecy are about.   From then on, Christmas Elves had enough to fuel themselves to be able to give children a Merry Christmas for Christmases to come.
If it does exist, they would need a mine train now to get things back up here.   Now that you’ve heard the story, I’ll you decide to believe if it’s true.   K: What about when Ancient Power, when magic left?   N: I would say nothing’s growing if real.   K: Who discovered it?   N: Well, records were not kept very well. We don’t know if it is true. The first telling our family remembers was from you great-great grandparents.   K: Does St. Nicholas ever talk about it?   N: Why would he talk about a legend? I guess he might think about it being true so we’ll have more of other supplies coming up here. But you know we only need candy and chocolate in the latter half of the year!   N: It’s time for bed! Let’s go!   K: Okay, mom.   N: Good girl!
