Galvus Solidor II is the current leader of the scholarly
Kingdom of Velant, and currently devotes the majority of his time to his two young children, and helping Velant to recover after their suffering at the hands of
The Holy Light.
Galvus was one of the unfortunate victims of
The Kindling in 1001 3A, and was displaced from his kingdom and family. He was found by
The Holy Light, and imprisoned by them as part of their hopes to eventually gain political and religious control over Velant.
Having been rescued by the adventuring party known as the Sanctioned, Galvus feels guilt over leaving his subjects at the mercy of petty tyrants, and for the death of his close friend Viceroy Zenos, a
Yonder who ruled Velant in his abscence.
Despite Galvus' kind temperament and renowned wisdom, he has received much criticism over his handling of foreign affairs. In particular, many believe he is prone to give in when pressured by Velant's northern neighbours in the
Oreion Inquisition. There are even those that hold Galvus as directly responsible for tragedies such as the Green War in 997 3A.
