The Followers of Nex

The Followers of Nex are a talanted, fanatic group of cultists that seek only one thing; the return of Nex to the mortal realm. Made up of talented individuals from all walks of life, the Followers specialize in deceit and manipulation, operating from the shadows all across Western Arkos. Their main area of activity, however, appears to be the Crescent Empire , as it holds the key to accomplishing their goal; the shards of the The Eclipse Stone. The Followers believe that the world is seeping with corruption and pain, and that Nex if returned will destroy the old world and create a better one for those that remain.
Surprisingly, the Followers have a very organized internal structure. They are led by the Hand of Nex, the ebony clad Lord Remnant, and his dark council. The council is comprised of powerful individuals that each represent a different facet of Nex's head, from his eyes, jaw and horns. Each part they represent gives insight into what their particular jobs and talents are within the cult.
While the Followers did ultimately succeed in their goal of summoning Nex back to the Mortal Realm, most of their leadership and forces were destroyed in the process. After the events of the Battle of the New Dawn, the small remaining number of Followers were seized by the Crescentian Imperial Legion, with only Cilas being the one member of cult leadership un-accounted for. While a few stragglers may remain across Western Arkos, the cult is virtually powerless now due to the banishment of their master at the hands of The Companions.
