Crescent Empire
Known for its Crescent moon shape, the empire was founded by its first Empress, Mythra Crescentia after she led the Order of the Eclipse in sealing Nex into The Void . With its glistening capital of Imperia situated in the center of Crescent Bay, the empire prides itself on its valuable trading assets and diverse landscape. It’s government consists of the emperor/empress at the top, with nobles and Legates residing over major areas in the mainland. While the crown and nobility makes important decisions, the true strength of the empire lies with its structured military and the Imperator. While the empire prides itself on being diverse and accepting of various races, there is still a lot of human supremacy that dominates the urban areas. The great Silver City lies underneath the empire, but the silver elves who built it mysteriously vanished centuries ago. The empire consists of a number of different biomes, and the long range of the Brink Mountains creates a border separating it and the frozen Brink Lands of the North.
One of the most powerful nations on Western Arkos, the Empire holds a postive reputation with most other countries, aside from the Oreion Inquisition whom they are constantly at odds with. The economy of the empire mainly subsists on trade through the Crescent Bay with other nations, particularly Shegoth, Velant and Scandia, as well as the valuable resources found in the caverns of the Brink mountains and the rich agricultural production of the Vale farmlands.
The Empire and its people are protected by the Crescentian Imperial Legion, who are also responsible for upholding the laws of the land and protecting the empire's interests in their territory and overseas.
The Emperor/Empress typically resides within the tri-spired Imperial Palace in the center of Imperia, the empire's captial city. Offering the monarch counsel in their inner court are prominent Crescentian nobles, the Imperial Spymaster, the Imperator of the Crescentian Imperial Legion, and the Imperial Court Wizard, who is in close contact with The Arcane University.
While the empire has the Imperial Cathedral in Imperia devoted to worship of the Creator, and chapels devoted to different Ancients in its various towns and cities (Paires in Rockspire, Morag in Daggervale, and Faust in Highwall), the citizens of the Empire are also known across Western Arkos to be guilty of hero worship, revering the members of the Order of the Eclipse in an almost unhealthy regard. The Court of Heroes in Imperia sees many visitors who wish to pay tribute to the heroes of old by leaving offerings at their statues.
