The City of Crowns is not only the largest city in the Oreion Inquisition, but the largest city in Western Arkos in terms of both size and population. Being the seat of the Inquisition's power, it is home to the Grand Inquisitor, and showcases the military might of The Veiled Hand, the diligence of the The Idyll Keepers, and the domineering nature of the Inquisitors. Victorum itself is so large that the majority of Idyll Keepers are stationed within the capital itself.
Victorum enjoys a easily defensible position being situated on a massive cliffside above two intersecting rivers; that and its central location make it a natural hub for trade and transportation. Besides this, both the city and the ruling House Mengsk have obtained massive amounts of wealth from the nearby Onagore Spine; a mountain range made from the corpse of the black Primordials. The copius amounts of gold and other precious resources taken from it and the other rich veins of the area have ensured Victorum is among the most resplendent of Arkos' cities; at least for those inside its walls.
The city itself is split into five distinct sectors, each separated by walls and checkpoints. The Fine District holds most of the city's public workings and noble housing, while the Security Ward is home to the headquarters of the Idyll Keepers and Inquisitors. The Holy Parish boasts the tallest building in the city: The Holy See, center for the nation's worship. A large arena-like structure known as the Guild Rotunda operates out of the Trade Quarter, and houses most of the city's guilds, trainers, and goods exchange. In the center of the city rests the Union Grove, meant to act as a green respite from the claustrophobic nature of the rest of the city's stonework. At the peak of the cliffside rests The Crown, with the Wolf's Head Palace gazing out across the lands beyond the city's walls.
