The Crooked Spoon

The Crooked Spoon is the tavern-to-be for friends and foes alike. It's a two-story inn with a sign depicting a spoon that's clearly bent out of shape. The inn's motto is "Where everything is a little crooked, but that's what makes life interesting!"   The ground floor is a large tavern with a bar that's known to serve the cheapest ale in Nogginsby. The furnishings are mismatched and the walls are covered in a mishmash of posters, portraits, and tapestries. There's a small stage for performers, and the innkeepers are always on the lookout for talented bards and minstrels to perform in exchange for free room and board.   Upstairs, the guest rooms are equally haphazard. Some are surprisingly well-appointed, with feather beds and fluffy pillows, while others have straw pallets and threadbare blankets. The doors all have different locks, and the keys don't always match the door they're supposed to open. There's a rumor that one of the rooms is haunted, but the innkeepers deny it.   Despite its eccentricities, The Crooked Spoon is a popular spot for travelers, adventurers, and locals who don't take themselves too seriously. And, of course, it's always packed during the annual "Bent Spoon" festival, a celebration of all things crooked and off-kilter.
