Notes

After regrouping on the 7th level of the Circle of Magic, the Knights of the Golden Order contemplate how to handle the Rumble King. Feye Lyne, looking for insight from her cortexes, communes with them and is told that she should not permit the Rumble King to walk all over her. The group plans to lure their enemy to the surface of the world and the use their reality bending powers to become as big as he is, as large as mountains.   In order to assist with reaching the surface, Duer Graysong contacts one of the many solicitors from Droheim and contracts the services of a powerful half-red dragon man, Soleth Red.   Back in the Undercropolis, Erithien Darkmoon discovers that her wanton bloodletting has given rise to hundreds of undead. The undead within the Undercropolis also rose and were destroyed by the scared inhabitants. Erithien Darkmoon convinces the Undercropolis to allow the undead into their city to help defend against the Rumble King's impeding attack.   The three ruling families of the Undercropolis (Echoseekers, Mithral Claws, and Gemkinds) convene to hear Babaduke "Gembo" Gemkind's assessment of the threat presented by the Rumble King and to hear his explanation of the risen undead. Despite powerful testimony the counsel refuse to consider evacuation. Galphi "not-too-much" Echoseeker revealed that she was a paladin of Garl Glittergold and held the Sword of Ages, but still they citizens of the Undercropolis refused to flee.   On the surface, Babaduke "Gembo" Gemkind finished reading the Tome of Introspection and became more wise, while Duer Graysong performed a new spell called Simulacrum and created Dee, an arcane clone of himself. Duer Graysong gave Dee a staff of power and instructed him to perform a retributive strike from within the Rumble King. Some of the Knights of the Golden Order were struck by how sentient the simulacrum was and were uncertain if they wished it to be killed.   At the appointed time, the Rumble King rose to enact his vengeance upon the Spider Lands. He was disturbed by Feye Lyne's interference and called her dishonourable for trying to stop him. Feye Lyne gave a stirring speech and the group used their cortexes to grow into giant sizes. Everyone, except Duer Graysong and Dee who did not possess the ability to bend reality in such a way. During the fight, the Rumble King summoned Elementals to stop Duer Graysong and Dee but the two wizards' cunning kept either of them from real danger.   The fight was brutal but thanks to the skill of the Knights of the Golden Order and the suicide mission of Dee, the Rumble King was defeated and banished back home. Thanks to a death ward placed upon Dee by Babaduke "Gembo" Gemkind, the simulacrum survived the retributive strike.   The Amethystone conveyed its astonishment at Feye Lyne's skills and determination. It tried once again to get Feye Lyne to accept her role in the eventual destruction of this reality, but Feye Lyne was steadfast her in assertion that she would find a way to save the world.
