❗The following is forgotten history that was largely lost post-Reckoning!❗   Before the land was called the Deeprealm, it was simply the earth of Aypavoc. However, as the branches of the World Pillar grew to blot out the entirety of the skies, the land became choked in darkness and hunger. Most of the grass and plant life withered away, leaving only rock and barren dirt. Bioluminescent insects and sap lit the world faintly as the leaves choked out the sky.   Life, however, carried on. Hardy pants clung to life amidst the jagged rocks, eating passing insects to substitute their nutrition, eventually growing enough to eat larger animals. Humans, too, subsisted with what meager crops they could nourish at the edges of the world, though most were carnivorous survivalists. Deprived of the magic and plenty that graced the Ildsif inhabiting the Skyrealm above following the descent of the goddess, the humans known as the Nvaonese subsisted through ruthless determination and were rather proud of it, for the most part, forming a very conservative culture which sneered upon excess and frivolity.   The Nvaonese were not entirely abandoned by the divine, however; the Apostle Uopywon was particularly charmed by their rigid society and cutthroat nature, living amongst them in disguise. Baon, too, pitied those who lived in the dark, and spent most of her time floating between the realms as Aypavoc's Moon, that they might see at least a little bit of light, eventually even gifting them the secrets of magic and setting the events of the Reckoning in motion.   After the destruction of the World Pillar and the merging of the realms, the Deeprealm was largely buried. Half-unearthed ruins are particularly prevalent and revered in the jungles of Eldwood, while the broken city of Setya remains in the skies of Atonement, preserved in grief by Varys.
