❗The following is forgotten history that was largely lost post-Reckoning!❗   The Skyrealm was originated from the boughs of the World Pillar, an ancient aemir tree planted at the beginning of time. As the tree grew large enough to sprawl over the entirety of the Deeprealm, the light-seeking species of Aypavoc formed their own ecosystem among its foliage, their rise and decay forming its own layer of earth over the eons, with the whole land mass being held aloft through the magical strength of the aemir.   While the world Aypavoc belongs to was still young and the island had yet to be shaped by the creators, Ammayn, a primordial goddess of chaos and change, fled to the island while being hunted by the creations of her antithetical counterpart. Though she shrouded the island before the other gods could find her, she still succumbed to her wounds where she had crashed into the Skyrealm. Her blood suffused the rivers and was drunk by its inhabitants and plants, and her flesh was consumed by the beasts. All that it touched were graced and cursed by divinity, having their forms warped and changed and imbued with magic, some impossible to control.   The mutations were vast and swift, but after several centuries, had mostly tampered off; similar-formed creatures gathered around each other, original species forgotten, forming new cultures and societies together, reveling and celebrating in their magic and the gift of the goddess. Though these groups were many, especially in the beginning, the spoken tribes were collectively referred to as the Ildsif: creatures possessing both magic and speech. This magic and excess led to the jealousy of many inhabitants of the Deeprealm, who had been deprived of both the divine gift of magic and the light of the overworld for their entire existence. In return, many denizens of the Skyrealm rarely even considered those who lived below as living beings, deprived of divinity as they were; in their mind, mere insects buried in the dirt.
