The Crowd launches a series of terrorist attacks on Bathala City and The Vigil is formed to respond.
Often touted as the "Beginning of the Heroic Age," when The Crowd began to launch a series of attacks on the people of Bathala City, he sparked a change in the public's perception of superhumans. No longer were they the odd anomaly here and there. Now, they were a big part of life in the modern day. Something that could impact everyone, regardless of who they were or what they thought of them. The attacks inspired Alec Upton to call in the contacts he'd made over his few years of heroing to form the world's first peacetime superhero team, The Vigil.
