Khanatba (khah · nawt · bah)

Khanatba is a thriving diverse city that has a rich history. Khanatba was always seen as the lesser of the Elventree, but once it united with the rest of Zakara, it put itself on the map as a thriving city of innovation and its self proclaimed democracy.

The citizens of Khanatba flourished with their newly found wealth, and they were proud of their Zakharan and Khanatban heritage. However, it is known that the people of Zakhara were highly racist to specific races, espcially those that were banished to the Isle of The Lost. Daily life in Khanatba was mostly peaceful, however with the sudden surge in wealth, some areas are seeing an increase in crime.

Government

The government of Khanatba included council members from each city in Zakhara. These members were elected by each city's ruler, and so they represented their city.

Every 30 years (or when the loregiver passes away or resigns), the council members would elect one of their members as Loregiver. The current loregiver is a Tiefling from Jable (Fana'ar Raeshal). The council current members include:

Flag of Zakhara:

Khanatba didn't have a flag of its own, that would be an antethisis to the reason it was created, instead it flew the flag of Zakhara.
In times of war, the flag would be displayed upside down, as a way to show that Zakhara wasn't the main priority, its people were.
Additionally, if a city is facing any times of trouble, or an external attack, the center circle would be replaced with the color representing that city, that way, it would show how each of the other cities are praying and supporting the city in times of need.

Description of the flag:

• The Yellow represents the flowing dunes and sands of Zakhara. And Zakharans understood that wherever they may go, or wherever their path leads them in life, the sands beneath their feet will always connect them to Zakhara.
• The Green represents the thriving nature of Zakhara, despite being a desert it is still the most advanced society in Bellares.
• The center circle represents Khanatba, as it was created to connect all species of Zakhara.
• The sun drops represent each city, clockwise: Hermost, Zandar, Jable, Shayla, Rahinaan, Yedir, Sibas, Elhag, Brayla, The lands.
• The cities dance and flow around Khanatba as it is their heart and center.
• The shape as a whole represents a sun, and the Zakharans were always connected to celestial beings and forces like the sun and moon.

Geography

Khanatba was once entirely a desert, however, as the city kept being built, it merged into the ocean and into its river to create a lush area full of fauna, and with the help of the druids of Hermost, it was able to create large areas of great natural resources.
