Crystal Inner Chamber

Upon completion of the trials the adventurers found the platform they were stading to descend to a lower chamber. Much like the Vault itself it has crystaline structures but more prevalent in various hues from purple, blue, green and even red. The crystals were being tended by crystaline entities including a crystal mantis. The mantis seemed to be the primary caretaker guiding the others to tending to the crystals much like a garden. They seemed particularly focused on crystals that appeared red in color. The mantis did not speak until the heroes attempted to interact with the crystal pillars which encased the Weapons of Power. The mantis explained they would need to declare their intentions should they feel they are prepared to be a caretaker to one of the weapons. Erem Scathac asked if there was a means of more immediate transport to the chamber, to which the mantis presented a Jeweled Scarab. The group debated how they would proceed ultimately deciding Eric Harmon, Hadley Messer and Erem would be bound to the scarab. It was explained more could be added and they could be removed, but all currently bound would need to be present to have the item rebounded. Once they decided who would be bound they declared in turn, “I bind myself to the scarab. I have proven myself worthy of the privilege of passage. I will guard it’s secret until time of my shattering.“ Later Erem would request to be bound to the Crystal bow where he would declare, “I bind myself to the Crystal Bow of Balance. I believe myself worthy to handle its responsibility and prepared to return it to the chamber should I be found lacking. I will guard until time of my shattering.“ The chamber protected the items from detection though the shard's power had awakened alerting those on the island of the vault's presence. Erem determined he could travel within the chamber from shadow to shadow but traveling beyond it was greater resistance. The mantis also answered Dr. Elijah Heartman question on whether there is a God in terms of the impact such a revelation would have on Dr. Heartman himself, to which he said it would not so the mantis suggested the answer would be meaningless to him.
