Mantis

The green crystaline mantis was the lead caretaker within the crystal inner chamber and charged by Adira to ensure the safety of a shard of the Orb. The mantis along with other crystaline entities were familiar with such responsibilities as they had been charged with protecting powerful artifacts such as the Weapons of Power.
When first encountered the mantis explained they had earned the right to gain the shard, but would require to bind themselves for either a weapon of power or a Jeweled Scarab which would permit them to easily return. Erem Scathac , Eric Harmon and Hadley Messer bound to the scarab and were informed should they wish to add or remove individuals all currently bound must be present.
“I bind myself to the scarab. I have proven myself worthy of the privilege of passage. I will guard it’s secret until time of my shattering," was the incantation to be bound to the scarab.
Only Erem bound himself to one of the weapons of power, though Hadley was tempted and though Sofia Fairchild was transfixed on the weapons she decided she had enough challenges currently in her life.
“I bind myself to the Crystal Bow of Balance. I believe myself worthy to handle its responsibility and prepared to return it to the chamber should I be found lacking. I will guard until time of my shattering," the incantation for the bow.
